Retinar PTR® is a Perimeter Surveillance Radar operating in the millimeter wavelength range. It has high resolution advanced technology radar systems with low power consumption and low output power. In the mobile configuration, the radar is used on a tripod and it can be carried with two backpacks for mobile operations. Retinar PTR® is used for military operations and mobile base protection. As in all active radars, Retinar PTR® operate by transmitting electromagnetic signals and processing the signals returning after reflection off various surfaces.

The radar sensor unit consists of antennas, RF modules, signal processing boards, GPS antenna and receiver, magnetic compass and voltage converters. It is placed on a mechanically steered pan&tilt unit. Retinar PTR® antenna has 2x10 degrees beam width. A built in GPS and magnetic compass helps to position the system precisely on a digital map background.
Integrated radar sensor and pan-tilt units can be used on a tripod for every possible mobile operation. It is easy to install and use with it’s two batteries configuration also it has plug and play structure. Retinar PTR® rotates up to 4 rpm for 360 degrees’ coverage. It has very small size, very low weight, low power consumption.
Retinar PTR® has 10/100Mbps Ethernet data interface and 220 VAC power interface. Retinar PTR® communicates with GUI on laptop or RIU software via Ethernet.
Retinar PTR® incorporates special algorithms and waveforms for LSS target detection, and can detect, track, and classify moving objects. Micro-Doppler signature analysis capability is used for human, animal, vehicle etc. identification for bad weather conditions.
