Barwarus Sula rail is designed to install a scope on the Kalashnikov assault rifle. You no longer need to mount and dismount the rail each time you are going to clean your weapon: just install and forget it!

This mount type was initially designed by sport shooters that were somewhat skeptical about numerous unreliable mount rails, which were unable to hold the optics firmly enough. The main feature of the Sula mount rail, which distinguishes it from similar products supplied by other manufacturers, is that it directs the recoil to the rail itself and not to its screws. The mounting rail has a special protrusion, which perceives the entire recoil impulse. Since the contact area is large enough, the supporting surface avoids deformation, which guarantees the stability of the optics mounted. The rail design is strong enough to safely mount the optics up to 800 g (1.76 lb). The user experience statistics show that even heavier optics can be safely mounted, which demonstrates a significant margin of the structure safety.

The mounting rail is excellent for all kinds of red dot sights and optics, making it the perfect alternative to side mount rails that usually weigh a lot more and do not guarantee stability, especially when removing and re-mounting the optics. Besides, side mount rails are not compatible with collapsing buttstocks.

The mounting rail has a non-adjustable rear sight and can be used as a mechanical aiming device. Just move and adjust the iron sight as needed to zero your firearm.

We consider this mounting method the best possible option for installing sights and optics. Other methods, such as mounting on the side rail, on the receiver cover, or the gas cylinder assembly, cannot guarantee the stability of the middle aiming point.

This model fits both the AK47 and AK74 assault rifles. But still, there is a difference: the mounting rail fits the AK74 rifle perfectly. You can mount the rail on the AK47 all right, but you will have to hammer it with a rubber mallet or sharpen it with a file.
